With COVID-19’s Delta variant causing a surge in infections, the National Rifle Association has chosen to cancel the public forum meeting and trade show that was scheduled for Labor Day Weekend in Houston Texas.
While this means that vendors and firearm industry insiders do not get a large forum to display their newest wares, it does mean that the Labor Day weekend can be spent on more traditional activities for those within that industry who would otherwise be stuck working a trade show.
So it can be seen as a small victory for those who use their Labor Day as the last getaway of summer, a nationwide tradition that has held for decades. The industry where outdoorsmanship is greatly supported can now participate as well.
The NRA will still hold a voting meeting where attendees and likely digital participants will be able to complete the mandatory business of the NRA which is the principle reason of the NRA Annual Meeting as far as the organization’s bylaws are concerned.
